In the most severe cases a structure may become contaminated, as well - even inside the walls.

Anti-Icky-Poo specifically formulated to eradicate urine contamination and other biological waste. This product attacks and removes stubborn odor caused by Urination, Feces, Vomit, Smoke, Char, deceased body odors, and other organic based odors.

Carpet Odor Removal

The carpet in the home is the largest air filter inside the house, but one of the problems with carpeting is that when animals have any sort of “accident” on the carpet, or if there is mold, mildew, or other elements the odor can be difficult to remove.  There are a variety of solutions to carpet odor removal that include natural products, homemade products, and commercial products.

Natural Products

Crush one half cup of Lavender flowers and a cup of baking soda together and sprinkle on the carpet.  Allow it to stand for half an hour or it can be left overnight if the carpet really stinks.  Once it has removed the odor, vacuum the mixture and a fresh lavender scent remains.

Essential Oil and baking soda or borax can also be combined to remove odors from carpets.  Take one-half cup of baking soda or borax and add up to 20 drops of the selected essential oil (just pick a desired fragrance), mix thoroughly and sprinkle on the carpet.  Allow to stand overnight, and then vacuum thoroughly for a fresh clean scent.

Homemade Products

There are other homemade remedies that can remove carpet odors and generally available in most homes.  For pet urine, use paper towels to absorb as much of the liquid as possible, then combine one cup water and one cup vinegar, mix in a bowl and spray on the spot.  Make sure the mixture is worked into the carpet, and then use paper towels to soak up all the water and vinegar mix until the area is as dry as possible.  Once the spot is dried, sprinkle baking soda on the spot, let sit for a while, and then vacuum.

Commercial Carpet Cleaners

After using the commercial products if your carpet’s odor doesn’t go away, it is best to give it to commercial carpet cleaners who have had years of experience. They can handle your carpet nicely without harming it even the slightest.
